The Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) communication system is a modern solution for professional users, providing not only crystal-clear voice communication but also enabling very secure IP data transmission. Thanks to the capabilities offered by high-end Motorola radio models, radio systems based on onboard computers have been developed, allowing IP communication in Direct Mode.

The main task of the developed systems is the secure transmission of IP data over significant distances. Communication is stateless; we use DMR AES 256-bit encryption and SSL at the transport layer of the OSI model. The developed system features data retransmission on connected onboard computers ensure that all packets reach the recipient from the sender (Air interferences interrupting transmission does not force the entire file to be sent again, retransmission is repeated from the point of interruption). Communication does not require repeaters or the entire DMR/TETRA infrastructure.
Thanks to Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) in a 12.5 kHz channel, DMR effectively doubles capacity compared to analog systems, offering two independent communication paths in the same channel. This allows DMR Tier II and Tier III systems to transmit data packets using the Internet Protocol (IPv4 and IPv6).
System runs on a specially designed on-board computer, as well as on tablets and any computer with Windows, Linux or OSX. The solution can also be installed on desktop computers or servers !
We have developed a DEMO application that allows connecting several radios to a CHAT server, featuring a built-in ACK mechanism (we know when the recipient received the data transmission), enabling very secure information exchange between multiple stations.
